1) The Aiguille du Midi Cable Car (3842m)

From the center of Chamonix, the Aiguille du Midi cable car takes you in 20 minutes to the gates of the Haute Montagne at 3842 m. The Aiguille du Midi Cable Car leaves from the center of Chamonix. It's a 2-step journey.

· The first section takes visitors to the Plan de l'Aiguille (2300 m).

· The second section flies over the Pèlerins glacier and the north face of the Aiguille.

From the top of the station (3842m) the view of the Alps is incredible.

The top of the resort includes several terraces from where visitors can admire the extraordinary landscapes of the Swiss, French and Italian Alps. An elevator inside the rock rises 42m to the upper terrace at 3842m. This is the closest point to Mont Blanc that can be accessed without effort!

The Plan de l'Aiguille (2354 m) is the intermediate station of the Aiguille du Midi cable car. It is an ideal starting point for off-piste skiing in winter, and hiking, climbing, and paragliding in summer and fall.

You can also take a superb day out hiking, connecting the Plan de l'Aiguille to the Montenvers Train station and the Mer de Glace, then returning to Chamonix by the Montenvers train (or vice versa).

2) The Aiguille du Midi Cable Car (3842m) / step into the void

The Step into the Void is a tourist attraction of the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc. Located on the upper terrace of the Aiguille du Midi, at 3842m, it has been nicknamed ""the highest attraction in Europe"".

The Step into the Void is a room entirely glazed, from floor to ceiling. It allows the visitor to live a unique experience: under their feet, a void of more than 1000m. From this piece of glass, the visitor's gaze takes in the highest peaks of Western Europe, and the exceptional Bossons glacier – the glacier with the greatest glacial drop in the world of almost 3370m (4810m – 1440m).

The grandiose atmosphere of the mountain and the feeling of vertigo, in complete safety!

3) The Mer de Glace, Montenvers Train, the Ice Cave and the Panoramic restaurant:

The Mer de Glace is one of the important sites in the Chamonix valley. It is the largest glacier in France (7 km long and 200 m thick). In winter, thousands of skiers descend it to the Gare du Montenvers after having done the famous "Vallée Blanche".

To access the Mer de Glace you have to take the little Montenvers Train.

The Montenvers Train leaves from Chamonix city center (Montenvers station). The Montenvers railway was the first construction in the valley, specially built for tourist purposes. It has been circulating since 1908.

The Montenvers Train takes you to the Mer de Glace in Chamonix. The funicular train leaves from Chamonix and climbs along the slope of the Chamonix needles to an altitude of 1913m.

The Montenvers station site also includes a café and a restaurant from which you can enjoy some spectacular views of some of the most prestigious peaks of Chamonix: the Drus (3754 m), the Grandes Jorasses (4205 m), the Aiguille du Grépon (3482 m).

The station is located on the rocky ridge overlooking the Mer de Glace Glacier. Nearby, you can see the Alpine Fauna Museum and an exhibition of magnificent mountain crystals found in the region.

In summer, you can take beautiful walks up to the Plan de l'Aiguille for example and then go back down to the valley on foot.

4) Le Brevent in Chamonix, the best view of Mont Blanc:

Le Brévent, probably the best place to watch Mont Blanc, 4810m. Discover Brévent and its panoramic view of Mont Blanc. From Chamonix, you can take the Plan Praz gondola to reach 1,999m, then take the cable car towards Brévent at 2525m.

Plan Praz is the starting point for great hikes and treks, including the hike to Lac Cornu and Grand Balcon Sud. It also has a beautiful paragliding takeoff area.

From the top of Brévent, a path goes to the Aiguillette des Houches via the Bel-Lachat refuge. Enjoy a moment of peace and tranquility on these sunny terraces.

To eat at Plan Praz you have "La Bergerie", which serves traditional cuisine and other snacks.At the top of Brévent, you have the "Le Panoramique Mont Blanc", this restaurant offers a unique and unforgettable panoramic view of Mont Blanc.
